Knitting Classes

I am teaching four knitting classes at my local yarn shop in the next few months. I will be able to give the models I'm making for two of them--baby veggie hats and a top-down child's cardigan--to charity once the classes are finished. Here is a photo of the tomato hat sized for a newborn. I'm working on a pumpkin one as well.

  2. I am thinking of taking a knitting class this year and I do love that tomato hat. I will have to put one of those on my 52 hats list.

Here is a link to the free pattern I used as a basis for this hat. http://peasoupoftheday.blogspot.com/2007/05/eat-your-vegies-baby-hat-pattern.html

I reduced the stitches to 70 stitches for the pumpkin hat and am working 4 knits, 1 purl all around. I'll add back the 2 stitches I need when I get to the top.

  5. Hi, When I read you were an Oregon gal, I had to read and enjoyed it all.
I am in Bend, and do very simple hats and scarves for donation.
I have enjoyed your writing. We have mutual interests.
