Easter Card Enclosed

I found the perfect Happy Easter/Happy Spring card to send.

Easter Hat and Booties

A cute little multicolored set made from Baby Cashmerino scraps for a tiny Easter baby girl.

Five Pastel Hats

These are knit from Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, a beautifully soft yarn. It's machine washable and lovely to knit.

Another Project

I have a great deal of wool yarn and went looking for someplace that preferred knitted items made of wool. I found The Friends of the Pine Ridge Reservation . They also have a group discussion list .

I plan to work on items for this group in between knitting preemie items. I'll be using my stash of wool yarns and making hats, mittens, and socks. Here is the first baby hat I knit today.

I'll make one mailing, probably in late September.

Three More Hats

One is knit in the baby cable pattern. The other two are plain stockinette stitch.

Hat and Booties with Novelty Yarn Trim

This set uses a few rounds of novelty yarn. I used seed stitch for the ribbing, knit a couple of rounds with the novelty yarn and knit the rest in stockinette stitch. The booties also have a couple of rounds of novelty yarn and the ribbing is again seed stitch. I think these are cute and festive; perfect for spring and Easter.

Hat and Booties

I used the worsted weight hat pattern but instead of ribbing I used seed stitch and I purled every fifth row in the hat pattern itself. The booties also have seed stitch instead of ribbing. I liked how this turned out and will use it in other hats.

I have chosen Sacred Heart Medical Center as the Spring/Easter recipient. This is the hospital where all four of my sons were born.
